GitHub Integration
Connecting GitHub to Meno unlocks collaboration for teams and version control for projects.
Connecting GitHub
Click Connect GitHub in the top right. A browser window opens for authorization. A device code is copied to your clipboard automatically -- just paste it when GitHub asks. Choose the organizations you want to connect with Meno, then click Authorize. Confirm with your two-factor authentication if you have it enabled, and once approved, head back to the app.
You'll notice a few things change right away. The GitHub button turns into an icon. When you click Connect new organization, all the organizations you authorized appear ready to connect. A new Join button also appears next to the New button.
Joining a Project
Click Join and a modal opens showing all your GitHub repositories for the selected organization. You can browse through them or search by name. Click a repo to join the project, and it shows up in your project grid ready to collaborate on.
Creating with GitHub
When you click New, Meno creates the project locally and automatically creates a new repo under the selected organization. For personal accounts, the repo goes under your GitHub username. For local organizations, the project is created only locally.
Opening on GitHub
For any project that's linked to a repo, you can open the three-dot menu on its card and click Open on GitHub. It takes you straight to the repo in your browser.
Disconnecting
To disconnect, go to the User menu and click Disconnect. Your local projects stay exactly where they are. GitHub-specific features like Join, org sync, and repo links are disabled until you reconnect.
