Meno Element Picker - Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 29, 2025

Overview

Meno Element Picker is a Chrome extension that lets you visually select elements from any webpage and copy them to your clipboard for use in Meno Studio. This policy explains how the extension handles your data.

Data Collection

Meno Element Picker does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. The extension does not use analytics, tracking, cookies, or any form of data collection.

What the Extension Accesses

When you click "Pick Element", the extension reads the HTML structure and computed CSS styles of the element you select on the current page. This content is copied to your local clipboard only. No data is sent to any server, external service, or third party.

Permissions

activeTab — Grants access to the currently active tab only when you click the extension icon. This is required to read the DOM structure and styles of the element you select. The extension cannot access any other tabs or browse your history.

scripting — Required to inject the element picker script into the active page. The script creates a visual overlay for selecting elements and is only injected after you explicitly click "Pick Element". No code runs in the background or without your action.

Data Storage

The extension does not store any data. Selected elements are copied to your system clipboard and are not saved anywhere else. The extension does not use local storage, cookies, or any other persistence mechanism.

Third-Party Services

The extension does not communicate with any third-party services, APIs, or servers. All processing happens locally in your browser.

Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
